X Weight Cloth Zirconia PSA Discs

These X Weight Cloth Backed Zirconia PSA discs are made with a heavy duty x-weight cloth backing that is covered with premium zirconia grains. These discs are resin bonded which keeps the zirconia grains attached to the cloth backing and provides excellent heat resistance that extends the life of this disc. These discs provide a much faster cut than our aluminum oxide discs that are also very good but these are the best! Zirconia will outlast aluminum oxide 3-4 times, making them the perfect choice for medium to heavy stock removal on any and all types of metal.

Also, X-weight cloth backing is much stronger than a regular paper backing and will not tear or wear at the edges. These Zirconia PSA Discs can be used on wood and plastics but really are made for all ferrous and non ferrous metals, and are excellent at grinding metal. You can use these discs for sanding, grinding, deburring, blending, finishing, and polishing applications.

Operating instructions:

• Select the correct zirconia PSA discs type and grit for your material and application.
• Inspect the zirconia PSA discs for cracks, tears, broken flaps, or other visible damage before use.
• Ensure your machine’s maximum RPM does not exceed the maximum RPM listed on these zirconia PSA discs.
• Disconnect the power source before installing the zirconia PSA discs.
• Mount the zirconia PSA discs securely on the machine, using the correct tightening mechanisms and ensuring proper centering.
• Tighten the discs according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Test run the sander / grinder at full speed in a safe area for at least 60 seconds before applying to the workpiece. 
• Use light, consistent pressure and move the tool in smooth strokes across the surface.
• Do not force the zirconia PSA discs into the material; let the abrasive do the work.
• Avoid prolonged sanding in one spot to prevent overheating and rapid wear.
• Allow the machine and belts to come to a complete stop before setting it down or changing belts.

Handling:

• Store zirconia PSA discs in their original packaging in a dry, cool place away from moisture and sunlight.
• Avoid stacking heavy objects on top of these discs to prevent warping or damaged flaps.
• Handle discs carefully to avoid impacts or drops that could cause hidden damage.
• Always check for any signs of warping, cracks, or loose abrasive before use.
• Keep discs flat during storage and prevent contact with oils, solvents, or corrosive substances.
